The foot and ankle are perhaps a more overlooked area of the body when it comes to health. The foot and ankle being our contact with the earth and what transfers contact from ground up to rest of the body it plays a major role in how force is loaded, accepted and shared to the joints above. We are of the mind that foot mechanics and how well they move and work need a larger portion of our time when dealing with movement health.
We see people try to make changes to their foot pain by buying a new pair of shoes with little understanding of what may be the more important role the foots strengths. We focus on improving the foot by improving the strength and capacity of the foot. Many issues of the foot improve when joints can move more freely along with being able and strong.
